PART 1: Sightseeing Funchal
In the first part of our tour, you will get the chance to visit 2 of the most beautiful sightseeing spots around Funchal. this part of the tour will be done in comfortable, airconditioned minivans.
- Pico dos Barcelos, where you can have outstanding views over Monte and Funchal’s bay. A great stop to make some mesmerizing panoramic pictures.
- Cabo Girão skywalk, which (with an elevation of 580m) clearly is not your common viewpoint. It will surely dazzle you, not only for its height, but also by its stunning views over Câmara de Lobos’ bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
PART 2: Food & Wine Walking Tour Funchal
In the second half of the tour, we invite you to ‘taste the city of Funchal’. We try to give you a local’s insight and make you feel like a true Madeiran for the length of the tour. 9 stops await you, where we will have 11 food tastings and 6 drinks.
You will get to see some of Madeira’s traditions, its culture and art alive. Some of the highlights of the Food & Wine Walking Tour :
- Of course, as we don’t want you to miss it, we included some Madeira Wine in this tour!
- All this accompanied by typical dishes, such as our famous scabbard fish.
- You know what else is great and super tasty in Madeira? Our mouth-watering handmade chocolates. Get to taste some of them along with our typical honey biscuits & other sweets.
- Another mandatory stop is surely our Farmer’s Market. Here we can find flowers and all the seasonal exotic fruits that grow in Madeira. Some of them might be the first time you see.
- We will finish at a Tea House in the Old Town, the perfect ending for this tour on a note that will awake and sweeten your taste buds.
At the end of the tour, you will be picked up next to Funchal’s Cable Car and brought back to your cruise ship or accommodation. If you have time, it is also possible for you to stay in Funchal so that you can enjoy it a bit more, enjoying perhaps, a cable car ride or adventuring yourself into the city).

For a full refund, cancellation is required at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. Minimum of 4 participants required. The itinerary/tour can be changed/cancelled due to weather conditions. Adult pricing applies to all travelers. A moderate amount of walking is involved. Adequate for cruises. Since you won’t feel the need to have lunch after the tour, you will have the remaining hours to enjoy as you wish before you get back to the cruise ship. |

A glass of Barbusano white wine, a scabbard fillet crostini with passion fruit and a fresh cheese crostini with sugarcane syrup and avocado.

Tree tomato chocolate and surinam cherry chocolate.

Passion fruit juice, square cookie with quince jam and ginger cookie.
